God's desire for mankind is not that we would wander through life hoping for Heaven. His desire and plan is that we know for sure if we will live in Heaven. The Bible shows us the very plain and simple way to get to Heaven:

1. You must first understand that everyone has done something wrong; the Bible calls this sin, and sin separates us from God. (Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;)
2. You must understand that the penalty for the sin in our lives is death. (Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.)
3. However, Jesus loves us and has provided a way out. That way out was Jesus dying on the cross and paying our debt. (Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.)
4. Repent of your sins, and believe that Jesus will save you. Then, through prayer, ask God to save you. (Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.)

If you would like to know for sure that you will be in Heaven, all you have to do is ask. Pray to God and let Him know you turn from for your sins; let Him know that you believe Jesus died for you and that you believe Jesus can and will save you.
